By the way, Cohen H. Minh is not my real name, for if you were to be a stranger, I wouldn't want you to find me. You'll find here a notebook I kept from October to February. I carried the thing around, writing in it obsessively without knowing why-if all of you were wondering. This is my beautiful life, where I know some of the most beautiful people, and all we seem to do here in the Midwest is hang out at bars or each other's houses and drink, drink ourselves carelessly into ghastly, cavernous holes. I genuinely do not know how to write the back of this book or explain it to people, so I'll keep it short and sweet. This book has had some adverse effects on my life, and now I'm convinced that talking about how you feel will only make things worse-that's just how I think-and this book isn't even something I can say I'm proud of. The more I look back at these pages, the more upset I get about how imperfect it is, but maybe that's just a ME thing. You're probably gonna quickly realize that there are too many people in this book-and HAHA, none of their names are real-and the book as a whole is so dull and insipid. Even though my life isn't worth writing about, the people in my life are, and I believe there's a modicum of worth you can find in the mundane and commonplace things. AH, I give up. I don't want to work on the back of this book more than I must. Who's going to read any of this anyway? But if you are reading this, I'm sorry for being a stranger, and I love you. I can't wait to see you again.
